Society For the Perpetuation of Desertbred Salukis

The Society is an AKC recognized Domestic registry for the registration of Salukis imported from accepted Countries of Origin and their subsequent progeny born in the USA.

The Society is dedicated to the preservation of this ancient canine breed known as the Saluki or Tazi, a sight-hunting breed found throughout the lands of the Near and Far East. Preserving the Saluki involves understanding and supporting not only the traditional cultures that still live side by side with him, but also by providing science-based information on Saluki history, Saluki genetics, and resources of information.
